Activation energy is the amount of energy required for a particular metabolic process to begin. Enzymes use to lower this amount of energy by joining or biding the reactants of a reaction together to enhance the formation of the products. An example of this could be how insulin helps to move glucose from the extracellular media inside the cell to be used by other enzymes for their reduction in form of AT¨P.
