The number of 2/5s in 1 and 1/5 are 2.5 and 1.25 respectively

Given:

divide 1 by 2/5

1 ÷ 2/5

= 1 × 5/2

= 5/2

= 2 1/2

also written as

= 2.5

divide

1/2 by 2/5

1/2 ÷ 2/5

= 1/2 × 5/2

= (1 × 5) / (2 × 2)

= 5 / 4

= 1 1/4

also written as 1.25
